Project: Digicel Innovation Experience Store

BACKGROUND

The goal was to enhance the customer’s experience and drive innovation through the use of technology and services offered by Digicel. The previous store on Bridge Street, was relocated to this location to facilitate the fresh upgrade to a more modern décor. The store now boasts more engaging digital technology, showcasing Digicel’s vision of the future.

 

CHALLENGES

Each channel must be dynamic and content-rich, with a unique strategy of not only grabbing the customer’s attention, but also keeping each one engaged. Features of persuasive demonstrations of how valuable Digicel’s services are to each customer, is critical to the success of this project. Not only was this a complex project consisting of four unique installs and multiple technologies, but the short timeline to complete the project left little room for error.

 

SOLUTIONS

Entertainment: This zone includes 3×2 49-inch LCD screens, a total of 6 Screens and 3 channels. Channel 1 plays ads provided by the marketing and advertising team, while channel 2 includes a live TV feed using Digicel’s Play service, for each screen. Channel 3 features a live TV feed across all 6 screens.

Discover: Playstation 4 games to add yet another form of entertainment for customers to compete with others. Screen 2 promotes new technology and services that customers may employ to simplify tasks, and improve their lives.

Promotional Column: This zone is comprised of 1×3 49-inch LCD screens (total of 3 screens and 1 channel) with the ability to feature promotions and specials.

Brand Wall: 3×3 49-inch LCD Screens with a focus on marketing and brand messaging.

Self Help: Samsung tablet featuring a custom application highlighting services, packages and full product offerings with the relevant pricing.

 

RESULTS

Digicel St Lucia can now have customers interact with products and utilize the services being provided, in the store environment to more effectively engage customers and influence their decision making. The sleek, modern design is more welcoming and vibrant. Through the use of technology and showcasing the usefulness of applications, Digicel has improved its image as innovative and critical to its customers’ success.
